More exploring in June

Before we headed home the middle of June we did a little turtle watching (of course) and a bit of sightseeing on the Hilo side. The diversity of terrain, flora and fauna is amazing.

Cub and a big guy!

Beautiful colored shell on this one....just hanging out in the shallows.

You have to come up for air every once in awhile!

These flowers are actually on a large tree...you don't realize how
gorgeous they are until you get close.

Going down the trail to Captain Cooks....again.  We try to do this 2 mile each way hike every time we are here.

These orange blossomed trees are beautiful with the backdrop of the blue ocean....but it is
hard to capture the vividness of them....so bear with me while I keep trying.

Panoramic, river on the left.....the beginning of Rainbow Falls on the right.

One humongous Banyon tree by Rainbow Falls.

Love these trees in Hilo.
