Hanging out with the Turtles

I try to get to the beach a couple times each week just to hang out for awhile and let the ocean waves do their magic. "A" Bay is the closest...5 min. drive to the parking area, so I land there most often. Last week when I was there it was definitely a "turtle day".  There was one turtle sunning on the beach when I got there and then several more came out of the ocean, they look so awkward on land but so graceful underwater. On my walk back there was a group of seven turtles...and then another two on the busy, people section of A Bay Beach. All in all, the most turtles I have seen at "A" Bay.
Here's the first guy I saw....several people proceeded to
almost trip on him as they walked along the beach.

Looking back toward "A" Bay and Waikoloa.

Waikoloa Beach Resorts.

Their coloring is so pretty when they are still wet from the ocean.

When they first came out of the ocean they looked like they were yawning or catching their breath.

And then there were three!!

This is one way you spot them in the ocean....their flippers.

Another big breath of air.

A turtle underwater right before coming ashore.

Love this picture with "A" Bay in the background.

Seven sunbathing beauties.

Very seldom see two turtles close together like this.
