November's Guests

When we arrived back on the Big Island mid November we had the privilege of having Garth Cook from BC with us for a night. This was the week before Hawaii convention on Oahu. My sis Denise and her husband George arrived also, and stayed with us until we all flew over to convention. Denise and George helped me show Garth a bit of the Big Island on the Kona side. He had already seen the job site, Hilo area, and the volcano while staying with the Campbells.
We started at Kaloko Pond.

Then walked toward Honokohau Harbor.

As we got closer to the harbor we started seeing turtles.

Garth and his sunbathing friend.

Denise, George and Garth.

One of the things Garth was quite interested in seeing was the
Captain Cook Memorial, we viewed it from across the bay.

We then went to Pu'uhonua Honaunau (City of Refuge).

Love this picture of Garth and his "crabby" friend.

The rock walls are amazing...even the small rocks are as tight as can be.

Me and my sis and bro-in-law.

A few days later we headed back to Honaunau to snorkel, on the way we stopped and took pictures of the Poinsettias. They are amazing over here and they are just blooming their hearts out in time for the holidays.

We stopped at Kua Bay for the sunset on our way home.

Then a couple days later we walked down to "A" Bay for the sunset.
