Beaches and Turtles

Before we headed home in November we had an ordinary week without any EXTRA activities. I made a point of getting to the beach once by myself and stopping off at the marina on my way home from Costco, to see the turtles. We do have a lot of ordinary days here... but I do try to remember that I have the privilege of being in Hawaii so I need to take advantage of it. Kelly works long hours so I have had to learn how to go to the beach by myself and even where it is safe to snorkel on my own...of course everything is more enjoyable when shared....which is why we LOVE to have company!!!
My favorite...most accessible turtle watching area.

Basking in the sun.

The best of both worlds...a warm rock and the ocean.

Two turtles and a sailboat.

Love the pattern in the sand from crawling up the beach.

It takes an incredible amount of effort for these guys to get up the beach.

Then as the tide comes in they go back into the ocean.

And we think we have issues with wrinkles!!!

When turtle watching....you watch for "round, smooth rocks" in the water.....usually turtles!!

Can you see them??

Walking back to the car...by the marina....loved the little boy on the front of the paddle board.

Here's the beach closest to our condo....I need to go here more often.

Looking North toward "A" Bay.

My spot that morning....before heading home on the "red eye".

As I walked back I found evidence of "Fall"....yep...even in Hawaii.

See....more FALL!!! We won't talk about the temperature!!
